Trump has no interest in new Iran deal

 DC Daily Journal:

On June 30, President Trump used Truth Social to dismiss reports that his administration was considering aiding Iran with a $30 billion civilian nuclear energy program or offering sanctions relief, as suggested by Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.).

“Tell phony Democrat Senator Chris Coons that I am not offering Iran ANYTHING, unlike Obama, who paid them $Billions under the stupid ‘road to a Nuclear Weapon JCPOA (which would now be expired!), nor am I even talking to them since we totally OBLITERATED their Nuclear Facilities,” Trump posted, referencing the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.

His statement counters Coons’ claim, reported by Politico, that Trump was exploring a deal akin to former President Obama’s.

Trump’s focus on the U.S. strikes on June 20, targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, emphasizes his narrative of decisive action.

Iran should have gotten the message about Trump's position with the attacks on its nuclear program in recent days. The surviving leadership within Iran is probably just in survival mode at this point.  Iran needs new leadership, but so far has no one stepping forward to take that role.
